Description
Talking Sticks are a great strategy to monitor small group interactions and help ensure that students have multiple opportunities to share with peers.
After students have learned sufficient language patterns and vocabulary to hold a purposeful conversation about the topic at hand, Talking Sticks support democratic and accountable participation in small group interactions.
Distribute a Talking Stick to each group. Each group member must listen while the student with the Talking Stick has the floor during the collaborative session. This helps teachers know that all group members have equal opportunity to share their thinking while enhancing communication skills. Package of 10. ACHV115, $6.00
